Realitor Fees are all over the board especially in todays high tech internet world.  We have companies like eRealty who tried to start a low fee service and they met with staunch opposition from all the traditional Real Estate Agents and realtor associations that helped put them out of business.

Then we have Redfin and Zip and many others all trying to create their own business models that rely heavily on the internet to help them grow their business models.  Well al that is great for business but we are just creating another middleman system similar to what has existed for the last 50 plus years.

This existing system works like this, a big name brokerage house is created and then they get as many agents to come and work under that name to create a real estate company that takes in hundreds of listing a month.  Then the agents split their commission with this big name brokerage house and the Realitor fees are now shared with them and they did none of the work.

Under This old program the traditional realtor fees have been around 6%, 3% to each the selling and listing agents.

Well this system has served the ones who created very well, but you the home owner are the ones making it possible for them to exist and rife on the backs and efforts of ll the thousands of agents who are really doing all the work.

Well the new internet based models all work the same way.  Refin is just another middle hand who is still using all the existing agents out there to do all the business and then they get a portion of the Realitor Fees from them.

Then you have the flat rate MLS insertion type models which are not worth the money, because you get no service what so ever and have to keep renewing the MLS insertion fee every three months or so.
