The Short Sales Process

The Short Sales Process  is when you are allowed by the bank to sell your property for less than what you owe on it.  Now sometimes the bank may try to get you to sign paperwork that gives them the right to come after you for the deficit, so watch out for that, you would have to speak to an attorney to find out whats best in your scenario.

Now this program does not allow anyone to rebate any cash back to you as a seller since the bank would prohibit that type of transaction.  Plus the fact that the short sales process can take months to complete is another reason the agents do not offer the cash back program on these types of home sales.

In the end our fee’s come from the bank anyway and not from you the home seller.  What you get by using an agent to manage your short sell is the experience of the team on the agents side who will handle all of the process for you at no cost to you.

DO NOT EVER agree to pay anyone any money up front to negotiate a short sale for you,  This is pretty much a scam and they can not do anything for you that an agent and his team can do for free, or at least at no up front cost to you as the home seller.  So again remember do not pay anyone any money to handle a short sale.
